Cookies & Storage

How browser storage and similar technologies relate to the iKota website and apps.

Public browsing

The public catalogue needs no customer sign-in. Current catalogue data uses temporary in-memory caching while the page is open. Normal browser caching can retain site assets under browser controls. This public website implementation does not add advertising trackers or an analytics cookie banner.

Contact security

When enabled, the contact form uses a short-lived secure session cookie and a form token to protect submissions against cross-site requests. Temporary submission limits prevent abuse; these are security controls, not advertising. Messages go to the support mailbox rather than a public website database.

Operations and mobile apps

The separately authenticated /rapture area uses Firebase authentication persistence and browser storage for staff sessions and features. Native apps use their own local storage and permissions. Enabled analytics or crash-reporting services are described in Privacy.

Controls

Clear site data, restrict cookies and manage permissions in browser settings. This can sign you out of Operations or prevent a protected form from working. Any future optional tracking requires an updated notice and appropriate choices before enabling it.
